Step 0: Mess around in Creative Mode and decide how you want to go about getting the Platinum/100% (Optional) There is a Title system to complement the existing Milestones and you can see which Titles you have unlocked, by visiting an Appearance Modifier (either at a space station, the Space Anomaly or your base) then going: Banner => Title => Press then use and to cycle through the list. Also note that this Guide was written, assuming you are starting from scratch with the latest patch installed. NMS is designed to be played however you want, thus Steps 1-6 can be done in any order. Also note that importing saves from v1.00 can cause progression issues. ![]() Playing unpatched is extremely unwise due to how buggy and unstable the game is in v1.00, plus the save system has been revamped multiple times over the years so patched saves won't work without the latest patch installed. Backup your saves on a regular basis and report any issues (no matter how big or small) to Hello Games, via their support site: LINK. When you get within close firing range of an enemy, press to automatically lock on and follow them. To make space combat easier, you can enable auto-aim by going: => Options => Control Options => Starship Combat Auto-Follow and setting it to Enabled (hold). Do note that the on-foot and Spaceship viewpoint settings are separate so will have to be done twice. To adjust the FOV, go: => Options => General Options => FOV but to change between first and third person viewpoints, go: => Scroll left to Utilities => Press => then scroll right and choose the "Toggle Camera View" option. Depending on your preference and if you have issues with motion sickness, you can adjust the Field of View (FOV) and choose between a first or third person perspective viewpoint. Credit to Naps for confirming the Plat/100% is obtainable in Expeditions Mode. Before you can do any of the Path Finder DLC trophies, you must have either the latest patch installed or own the updated retail re-release "Beyond" version of the game because the DLC itself was added with the 1.20 patch so can't be attempted without having that installed. ![]() None of the trophies are glitched but most of the descriptions are wrong and whilst it is possible to get all the trophies in a single playthrough by starting in Permadeath Mode, I strongly recommend doing 2 Playthroughs to make life easier for yourself. Trophy wise, many of the trophies are trivial to get and the only truly annoying ones are Take a Deep Breath and To Live Forever but those are easily boosted once the opening tutorials are out of the way. No Man's Sky (hereafter called NMS) is a procedurally generated sandbox game where you can do pretty much anything you want and it is very easy to spend hours exploring the universe and following the various storylines or just building your dream base. Additional peripherals required?: PS Plus isn't required for the Reunion trophy when doing it solo but you will need it if you intend to boost the Take a Deep Breath and To Live Forever trophies.Do cheat codes disable trophies?: There are no cheats available but Creative Mode will disable all trophies.Do trophies stack?: The Survival and Permadeath trophies do, plus there are separate PS4 and PS5 lists for the game itself.Does difficulty affect trophies?: Yes, you have to finish the game in Permadeath mode.Glitched trophies: None if playing with the 3.63 or higher patch installed.Minimum number of playthroughs: 1 but 2 are strongly recommended.Path Finder Update Trophy Breakdown: 5 (4, 1 ).Main Game Trophy Breakdown: 23 (6, 8, 8, 1 ). ![]() Approximate time to Platinum/100%?: 25-30+hrs for the Platinum and another 25+hrs on top of that for the 100%, depending on how many of the DLC trophies you boost ( Estimated Time to Platinum).Path Finder Update: 2/10 if boosted, 6/10 if not.Main Game: 3.5/10 ( Platinum Difficulty Rating). ![]()
